Robert Gérard

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Four years of painting, commercial art and illustration at Studio Salette in Montreal. Studies in illustration with Lucien Grenet and Richard Hansen. Painting and illustration workshops in France.

Guest of honor at the Festival International du Film Animalier et de l'Environnement in 1996, under the haut patronage of Sa Majesté le roi Hassan Il of Morocco.
Chosen for the 1995 stamp for the Fondation de la faune du Québec.
Commemorative Medal for the 125th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation, awarded by His Excellency the Right Honorable Ramon John Hnatyshyn, Governor of Canada in 1992.
First prize, golden ribbon, hyperrealism category at the Grand prix européen des Beaux-Arts in 1989, awarded by l'Association des artistes de France.
